Q: Can I add my own logo/header to the system?
I would like to have the system show my compay's logo on the system, instead of the EZ LCMS logo. Can we do that?
A:
Yes! EZ LCMS allows you to "Brand" the system by loading in your own company logo, header image and Welcome message. As a matter of fact, you may use MULTIPLE brands for your account, so you may have the system display one logo, header image welcome message to some of your users, and a different logo, header image and welcome message for other users.
When yo create a brand, a seperate log-in page is created for each brand. You determine which brand your users will see, by giving them the link to the log-in page that is associated with your brand.
Additionally, when you create 1 brand, that brand replaces the default EZ LCMS brand completely, so that the new "Default" brand will be the most recent brand that you create.
Q: E-commerce payment gateways, PayPal, Autorize.net and Cybersource
What kind of payment gateways does EZ LCMS integrate and how does that work?
A:
EZ LCMS can integrate with PayPal, Authorize.net and Cybersource. You set up your e-commerce integration on the "administrator > system" tab. You integrate in the following ways:
Paypal: You can set up your EZ LCMS account to integrate with PayPal simply by entering your PayPal email address. Once this is done, when your users go to enroll in your course(s), a new window will pop up where the user will be taken through the PayPal Payment process. If you have a PayPal merchant account, your users can pay with Credit Card directly. If you have a standard PayPal account, your users must have a PayPal account to pay. Once the payment is processed by PayPal, your student is immediately enrolled in the course(s) and may start right away.
Authorize.net: When integrating with Authorize.net, you simply enter your Authorize.net username and passkey into the EZ LCMS system. When the user enrolls in a course in EZ LCMS they will be asked to enter their credit card information directly. The payment will be processed by Authorize.net and when successful, the student will immediately be enrolled in the course and can begin taking it right away.
Cybersource: When using cybersource, you will need to set up your CyberSource Hosted Order Page ahead of time. Then simply download the Cybersource file "hop.asp" and load that file into EZ LCMS. Having done this, your users will be directed from the EZ LCMS system to your Cybersource Hosted Order Page, and then return to EZ LCMS when payment is completed successfully, so that they may begin taking their purchased courses.
Q: How does the e-commerce process work from the student perspective?
How does the e-commerce process work from the student perspective?
A:
Once you have turned on E-Commerce in the "Administrator > System" tab, you can assign prices to your courses and classes by editing them, adding prices, and clicking Submit. A course with a price of 0 is free.
Once your prices are in place, your students can go to the "Catalog" page in the Learner role, adn check off which course they would like to Purchase, and then click the "Purchase" button at the bottom of the catalog page.
A total price will be calculated for the student to verify, and then they will be taken through the payment process (determined by which payment gateway you are using) and then will be automatically and immediately enrolled in the courses that they selected.
Q: What are the benefits of Purchasing the system over using the hosted online account?
We are very interested in the EZ LCMS system, but are having trouble deciding if we should use the hosted online version for $299.00 per month, or if we should purchase outright. Can you tell us the benfits of purchasing over using the $299.00 a month plan.
A:
Purchasing the EZ LCMS has many benefits listed below:
1) Unlimited users: When you use the hosted online version of the system, you are limited to 1000 users. You can purchase more user accounts for your organization at an additional $50.00 per month for an additional 500 users. But when you purchase the system, you can have an unlimited number of users.
2) Unlimited number of organizations: When using the online hosted version, you are using one organization account. When you purchase the system, you may set up multiuple organization accounts for your own customers etc.
3) Customizable: Because the monthly plan uses a shared instance of EZ LCMS, we cannot customize the system to meet your specific needs. However, if you purchase the EZ LCMS, you receive your own copy/installation and it can be customized either by us or by you as needed.
Q: Why is the EZ LCMS PowerPoint Plug-In Free?
We are wondering how you can afford to give the EZ LCMS PowerPoint away free!
A:
The EZ LCMS PowerPoint plugin creates a course is a proprietary format and uploads the course DIRECTLY into the EZ LCMS system. The Plug-In cannot be used to develop content for any other platform, and therefore you are free to downlooad and distribute as many copies as you would like. You will need an account in EZ LCMS for your PowerPoint developed courses to display and be tracked.
Q: How do I enable eCommerce
Is there a way to charge for courses and arrange payment through e-commerce?
A:
You can charge for your courses. You can turn on ecommerce by going to the administrator role > System tab. There you can choose the type of payment recipient you would like to use, like Paypal for example. Once you have that enabled, you can assign prices for your courses by clicking “Edit” next to your courses on the Administrator > Courses tab and submitting the changes. Once that is done, your learners will be able to go to the “catalog” and select the courses that they would like to buy, and click “Purchase”. They will go through the payment process, and then will be automatically enrolled in the courses that they purchased.
Q: Can a user create their own user account and sign themselves up for courses?
Can a user create their own user account and sign themselves up for courses?
A:
Your students can sign themselves up for an account in the system, if you set up your organization as an “Open” organization. When you have an “Open” organization, there will be a link on your log-In page that says “New user? Sign up here”. You can change the “Open/Closed” status of your organization on the Administrator > System tab. They will create their own user account, and log in to the system. From there, they can go to the “catalog” and enroll in your courses themselves. If you have ecommerce turned on, they can enroll in any courses that are “Free” and purchase the others. In the reporter role you can look at a course and/or class report at any time to see who is enrolled in each course/class.
Q: Does your system support reporting how a user answered each question in a test?
Does EZ LCMS support Item Analysis, where I can view the way in which each users answered each question in a course?
A:
Our system does support “Item analysis” so if you create a course in our “Developer” role, or if you use another development tool like Articulate that passes “Item Analysis” data to the LMS, you will be able to see how the user answered each question, whether or not it was correct or wrong, and what the correct answer was for that question. You will be able to find this data in our system under the Reporter Role > Courses tab. Choose the course that you are interested in, and to the right of each user’s status you will see a “details” icon. Clicking this icon shows the details of how the user answered each question.
